Spring Wedding at Winters Barns & St. Thomas Church
Winters Barns in Spring
Helen and Charlie’s wedding was an incredible mix of tradition and fun, starting with a heartfelt ceremony at St. Thomas Church in Canterbury before heading to Winters Barns for their reception. The day kicked off with a lively morning in the bridal suite, where champagne was flowing (I even got a glass!) and the excitement was contagious. After the ceremony, guests hopped on a double-decker bus back to Winters Barns, setting the tone for a relaxed, joyful evening. Ian from The Wedding Chaps kept the dancefloor alive, and one of the funniest moments came when Charlie threw a box of tequila into the air—the lucky guest who caught it won a bottle, plus a sombrero and fake mustache to match.
As always, I kept an eye out for golden hour, knowing Helen’s one wish was a portrait in front of Winters Barns’ iconic wooden door. The light was harsh at first, but just as we stepped outside, a cloud softened everything beautifully—perfect timing. From heartfelt moments to tequila-fueled dancefloor antics, this wedding had it all.
